Hi - allow me to introduce myself - I’m Lesley McNamee and I run a small company in London called Retropolitan, selling decorative vintage homeware.
My ethos is very much about bringing the world of the old into the homes of the new, so I thought I’d communicate to you in this very modern way, and try to begin to demystify for some people what is often a confusing sea of retro flotsam and jetsam
As I write this, I’ve thought about how much communications have changed … Even with social networking and blogging now taking off - there’s still not much technological trend setting going on the world of antiques and collectables……
So I’m aiming to try and change that - every 8 weeks or so I will pick a new area of vintage that I think is hot (or at least warm!) in the world of retro style, interiors and antiques. With that, I aim to impart some of my 15 years of buying experience and hopefully give you a little bit of history and some hints and tips on what to look out for.
